LPVL AD 2.22 Flight procedures

Due to proximity Porto CTR and Porto TMA, the following procedures shall be observed:

Departure:

Each flight intending to fly within controlled airspace shall:

Previously listen to Porto ATIS (FREQ 124.305 MHZ or Phone: 229 408 074)
Previously contact with Porto APP (FREQ 120.910 MHZ or whichever frequency broadcasted by ATIS departure)
Follow ATC instructions.

Note: Until contact with Porto APP is established the aircraft shall remain in uncontrolled airspace (i.e. remaining on the aerodrome circuit or flying into the VFR routes established)

Approach:

Flights within controlled airspace shall maintain contact with Porto APP (FREQ 120.910 MHZ or whichever frequencies broadcasted by ATIS).

Flights outside controlled airspace or when instructed by Porto APP to monitor aerodrome frequency shall proceed in accordance with their position to the following:

Aircraft from east:

Entry through significant points -VALONGO - PAÇOS DE FERREIRA - SANTO TIRSO.
Proceed to point ECHO (411653N 0082802W, RDL 090°/10 NM DVOR/DME PRT) reaching 1500 FT QNH.
Overfly the aerodrome, bearing 270° (MAG), maintaining 1500 FT QNH enter right downwind RWY 16 or left downwind RWY 34.

Aircraft from west:

Entry through significant points - PONTE DO FREIXO - MAIA - MONTE DE S. GENS.
Proceed to point WHISKEY (411546N 0083202W, RDL 98°/7 NM DVOR/DME PRT) reaching 1500 FT QNH.
Entry directly to left base leg RWY 34 or right downwind RWY 16.

LPVL AD 2.23 Additional information

Potentially dangerous activities:

Parachute Jumping

Activity in the vicinity of the aerodrome. Aircraft supporting this activity shall be previously coordinated with AD Director and Porto APP. After TKOF this traffic shall maintain coordination with Porto APP and the aerodrome.
