Ukrainian crisis - According to European Union Regulation 833/2014 of 31 Jul and Council Decision 2014/512/CFSP of 31 Jul, in their current updated versions, any aircraft operated by Russian air carriers, including as a marketing carrier in code-sharing or blocked-space arrangements, or for any Russian registered aircraft, or for any non-Russian-registered aircraft which is owned or chartered, or otherwise controlled by any Russian natural or legal person, entity or body, is prohibited to land in, takeoff from or overfly Portuguese territory, except for emergency landing and emergency overflight.
The prohibition provided above shall not apply to aircraft that have a maximum seating capacity of 4 persons and a maximum take-off mass of no more than 2000KG when used for private, non-corporate, flights carried out within Portuguese territory and airspace for recreational purposes or for the purpose of training for private pilot licenses and related ratings with Union training providers.
Leased aircraft one-way return flights and humane or other compatible with referred regulation may be authorized to land in, takeoff from or overfly the Portuguese territory, by the Portuguese CAA email [email protected].
This Supplement is valid from 15-MAY-2025 until estimated end of validity of 28-FEB-2026. Replaces AIP SUP 085/2024.
